Stephanie Vanclooster is a clinical psychologist who obtained her master’s degree at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium. After her studies and a short stay abroad, she started conducting practice- and policy-oriented research on mental health(care) and wellbeing at LUCAS KU Leuven. At the same time, she completed the postgraduate training in clinical neuropsychology at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). In November 2013, she started her PhD at the Department of Public Health of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy at VUB on reintegration into school of childhood brain tumor survivors to formulate policy recommendations. Her research was supported by the Jeanne and Alice Van de Voorde Fund from the King Baudouin Foundation. Then, Dr Vanclooster temporarily supervised nursing students doing a mental healthcare internship at University Colleges Leuven-Limburg and studied the psychological functioning of victims of human trafficking at University Antwerp. After doing volunteer work with disabled children and youth in Peru, she returned to Belgium and began working on the TANDem project as a postdoctoral researcher.
Stephanie was a member of the TAND consortium in years 1-3 of the TANDem project.
