Ms Naomi Epstein
Family representative
Naomi is the parent of a young man severely affected by TSC. She was born and raised in the United States but came to Japan in 1983 for what should have been one year but became a lifetime. After her son’s diagnosis in 1997, she realised there was a huge gap in the amount of information on TSC available in English and Japanese and wanted to help to bridge the gap and bring families and patients together for support and fun. She is a member of the Japanese TSC Society of Tuberous Sclerosis Complex’s Family Network Committee.
