Dr. Liezl Schlebusch is a social scientist in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Cape Town. Her research focuses on human development, disability, and caregiver wellbeing, particularly in resource-limited settings. She is a core researcher on the TANDem-2 project, the Bloom Autism Support Programme for Families, and the World Health Organization Caregiver Skills Training (CST) Programme in South Africa. Her work centres on developing and implementing evidence-based, family-focused interventions that promote the wellbeing of children with disabilities and their caregivers.
